The Healing Room and the School of Healing at St Pat’s: April 19-20

Last fall, we launched our Physical Healing ministry at the parish and the Lord is pouring out his graces. Occasionally I share testimonies of what the Lord is doing. Here is a mother’s testimony relayed to me by Steve Mihalik the leader of the Physical Healing Ministry a few months ago:

“My daughter, Hanna, received prayer for the healing of her heart. She has a congenitive heart defect and received surgery for it last fall when she was 5 months old. She had three residual holes and pulmonary hypertension and we were praying she didn’t need another surgery.

At Hanna’s cardiology appointment last week, they did an echo and EKG and discovered ALL THREE holes have completely closed, her pulmonary hypertension is lessened and she was abruptly taken off all medication!! She will need to check in again in a few months for them to monitor her hypertension, but they expect it to resolve on its own. They said she should not need any future cardiology care aside from occasional check ups! Praise God!!!!!!”

Currently we offer this healing ministry 1x/month on the first Sunday after the 11:30 Mass. But we want to continue to grow this ministry, and to do that we need more people. Encounter Ministries is hosting a special School of Healing here at St Pat’s on April 19-20. In this day and a half school, participants learn about the theology and practice of healing prayer. The weekend school ends with a huge open to the public healing service at the parish. We would like as many people as possible to attend; St. Patrick parishioners get 50% off registration using the coupon code: StPat50 Please go here to sign up for this powerful weekend.

DSA: Have you Given Yet?

Fr. Miguel and I have already given to the DSA along with so many other parishioners. Each of us can make a difference. If you’re confirmed or older, please prayerfully make a gift to the Diocesan Services Appeal (even if it is as small as $1.00). We would love to break the 1000 individual gifts barrier (Last year we were in the 980’s). Please go here for more information and to donate. If you don’t want to give online, feel free just to use one of the envelopes that are in the pews. Thanks!

The Solemnity of St. Patrick

This Sunday, March 17th is our Patronal Feast Day. I’m excited about our parish celebration too. Inside this bulletin is a prayer card with the full version of the Lorica of St. Patrick, a prayer attributed to him. As we celebrate our patron, let’s pray this prayer in faith trusting in the same God in whom St. Patrick trusted and who converted all of Ireland to the Christian faith.

Your servant in the Lord,
Fr. Mathias
