Parish Renovation Presentation

Be on the look for an email from me regarding Tuesday’s video presentation, the PDF pictures/explanation and the parish survey. Just a reminder that if you’re not getting my emails, to check the Spam filter for parish emails. More information will be available on our website.

RRM Recommendations Released This Week

As I write this, the recommendations are slated to be released to the entire diocese this week. Please be on the lookout from communications from our Diocese about this. My  recommendation is to watch the video I recorded and read the Key Findings and Recommendations document. We’ll talk more about this soon.

Family Divisions

I’m aware that Thanksgiving may expose and exacerbate sharp family divisions around politics and issues surrounding COVID. Whatever side you fall on regarding any family divisions, remember we are called as Christians to witness extraordinary gentleness, mercy and kindness to people who disagree with us. Issues of truth are critically important for us as Christians, and so if we choose to engage in difficult conversations we need to first take the high road and make sure we have forgiven anyone who has hurt us and be a witness to Jesus’ loving mercy.

Away For a Few Days

On Sunday I’ll be going away for a few days on a little vacation this week. I’ll be back on Wednesday. We have so much to be thankful for as a parish and people of faith today. I’m thankful to all of you and your witness to me of following Jesus. If I don’t see you, please have a happy and safe Thanksgiving.

Your servant in the Lord,
Fr. Mathias
